"Story" MONROE started a long ago, in 1917., when Charles Sumner McIntyre made a small craftsman's workshop for manufacturing car parts in the vicinity of city Monroe, nearby Detroit. One of the first market products were pneumatical pumps for car tires – in those days original equipment of each car.
Already in 1927 the yearly production achieved 15 milion pieces and the main buyer was Ford company, for their famous model T. Aiming to increase drive comfortability, Charles McIntyre gives order to his engineers to develop a new product, which would work according to similar principles and would be built directly into the vehicle – and shock absorbers industry began. In the years to come the company grew into a multinational company and world leader in manufacturing, both original and spare parts, known under the name MONROE.
Today, this company has 8.000 employees and is part of Tenneco Automotive group, whose yearly production reaches 20 million pieces with an average yearly profit amounting to about 1 billion dollars.

Monroe® Magnum shock absorbers use high quality oils which make it possible for shock absorbers to work optimally and under extreme temperatures (from 40 until 200 degrees Celsius). All shock absorbers have a two- year factory warranty.
